Chancey June is a cinematographer based in the Washington, D.C. area. Her cinematography work includes commercials, music videos, and narrative. Her path to filmmaking has been curious and meandering, following her through periods as a writer and a humanitarian photographer. Her love for visual storytelling began early in childhood as soon as she got her hands on her dad’s video camera. What started as indulgent backyard productions with neighborhood friends grew into a calling and a desire to tell meaningful stories. She is particularly drawn to stories that reveal deeper insights into our humanity — our interconnectedness, our shared experiences, our fragility, and our resilience.
